Gods word. The Bible:

The Bible is the foundation of every Christian. The Bible is not just a collection of historical events, but one of the most important ways in which God speaks to people. It is God's word! The Bible speaks to you personally. Through a good reading plan, a daily verse or reading from deck to  deck, you will gain your own personal insights. Especially if you invite the Holy Spirit to read the Bible with you.

Prayer & Fasting:

The Bible says: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (s. Philippians 4:6-7). We can bring all our thanks and praise, but also our worries and needs before God in prayer. Isn't that great? The almighty God in heaven is listening to you personally! In our opinion, there is no such thing as a "wrong prayer". And who to better learn to pray from than Jesus himself? You can find the "Our Father" in Matthew 6:9-15. You can simply repeat it, but you can also expand on it. For example, by telling God what "bread" you and your neighbour need in the near future (or what you and your neighbour need to live), for which sins you ask for forgiveness, whom you forgive or from which temptation you want to be freed. Biblical fasting is also a great way to strengthen and increase faith, trust and intimacy with God.

Personal Relationship with Jesus:

Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with you (s. e.g. Matthew 11:28-30). This may sound strange to some, but I encourage you to take 15 minutes in a quiet place, calm down, close your eyes and ask Jesus what is on His heart. You can invite the Holy Spirit to do this. All you have to say is: "Holy Spirit: Come!" Sometimes it also helps to repeat this several times. You can also imagine a picture of Jesus. Even if a loud voice will probably not speak to you straight away, we are convinced that Jesus will reveal great things to you about yourself and your life!

Community with Christians:

When we think of Christian community and church services, many of us have an image of an organ concert with traditional songs and particularly strict rules. But the Bible says that we should celebrate together. That's right: CELEBRATE. Singing, dancing, clapping, eating and laughing together. That is biblical. God wants us to live a life of joy together (s. Nehemiah 8:10). And of course it is also about sharing your life, your fears and hardships, but also what you are grateful for and what is going well. Together with other Christians, you can grow, learn and have fun. Praying together is also an important part of community. "For where two or three gather in my [Jesus] name, there am I with them" (cf. Matthew 18:20). Worship is also an important component! And you don't have to open an old prayer book to do this. Just look up Hillsong or Bethel Music on popular platforms (e.g. YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music). God loves it when you worship Him from your heart.
