God and Science

At school and university, we are often presented with theories as universal truths. However, theories such as the evolution theory are always based on assumptions that cannot be proven.

Now, we are not scientists and the existence of God cannot be proven either. However, there is plenty of rational evidence that the God of the Bible really does exist.

We will link you to some resources that we particularly like. There are certainly many more interpretations. Even Christians have different opinions, approaches and theologies on this topic. The resources should therefore help you to gain a refreshing new perspective on this topic! God and science do not contradict each other! This has been proven time and time again by scientists of faith, such as the great physicist Isaac Newton.

Bible. Gods word:

The sheer number of detailed (messianic) prophecies (around 17) about Jesus' life in the Old Testament written before his birth (which essentially corresponds to the Jewish Torah) shows that the words of the Bible come from God! They were inspired by the Holy Spirit and written down by people. The probability of such a number of prophecies about Jesus' life is statistically 1 in 4,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (s. Jesus und die statistische Wahrscheinlichkeit | Keine Tricks - nur Jesus (keine-tricks-nur-jesus.de) To good to be true, right?

If you don't have enough time to look at the resources, I'd still like to give you three things to think about:

1. it is not possible to create "anything" out of "nothing". It always requires a creator. Example: A painting always has a creator who paints it. This person possesses the "power of creation". In the same way, the world cannot come into being without a creator, our eternal God, who was already there before the beginning of the earth and humanity. Where else would the power come from?

2. If there is no God, there is no objective morality. So it can be wrong to kill someone today and okay tomorrow. Ultimately, everything is subjective, i.e. everything is subject to the individual judgement of a person or a society. Or who else decides on "right" and "wrong"?

3. Without free will there is no love. Only if I have the choice to do "bad things" and to decide against God and his word, our decision to follow God can be made out of love. This free choice, which God leaves to you and without which there would be no love, repeatedly brings evil (e.g. war, injury, illness) into our world.
